Is Tom Hardy a Military Veteran?

Edward Thomas Hardy is his real name (Tom Hardy) who is only child of Chips Hardy and Elizabeth Anne Hardy.

Before coming to movies Tom was part of various schools such as Reed’s, Tower House School and Duff Miller Sixth Form College. After discovering his interest in action, he enrolled himself at Richmond Drama School and Drama Centre London for studies.

There are lot of difficult times in Tom Hardy’s life before his career started, he struggled with alcoholism, forcing him to rehabilitation centre to improve his situation. After he concentrated on his acting skills and his persistence paid off.

Next, he played leading role in 2002 in a Science Fiction Movie called Nemesis. He played multiple roles in other television miniseries like, The Virgin Queen, Bill Sikes, and Oliver Twist until 2007. In 2008, Tom hardy featured in RocknRolla film. His action skill continued to shine and bring him other leading roles in successive years.

Tom Hardy believe in giving back to community. He was appointed as the ambassador for a charitable organization for the youth called The Prince’s Trust in United Kingdom.

The Prince’s Trust is a UK charity organization that aims at improving lives of young people.  The organization runs affairs of the youth by promoting empowerment through supporting infant start-ups, training, mentorships, and personal development initiatives for youths.

Tom Hardy was also appointed lead ambassador for Reorg Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Foundation in 2018. The organization works hand in hand with the Royal Marines Charity in the fight against mental disorders for veterans.

Was Tom Hardy in the military & veteran?

No. Tom Hardy is not in Military hence not a Veteran, despite numerous action films to his name till date.

During a recent interview, he said if he is not able to make in films, He would have joined Army.
