Drake overtakes Kanye just three days after album release

Certified Lover Boy has surpassed Donda on the US streaming charts

The feud continues between the two rappers Drake and Kanye West.  Certified Lover Boy,  has taken first place among the most streamed albums in the United States, The Rolling Stone Charts show that about Drake’s new release. Beating Kanye West’s Donda.  Drake outscored Kanye in just three days. Certified Lover Boy is Drake’s sixth album.

NME writes From the release date of September 3 to September 5, Drake’s album had reached 430 million streams in the United States, Donda, released five days before Certified Lover Boy , had just under 423 million streams in the first eight days after the album’s release. 

Although Drake has overtaken Kanye, there is no doubt that Donda, the tenth album from the American rapper, is a successful release. In the first week on top of the release, Donda went straight into number one on the US Billboard 200 list as the most streamed and downloaded album in the US this year.

The Rolling Stone Charts are based on data collection and analysis prepared by Alpha Data. Alpha Data collects data from streaming services, physical retailers and record companies, after which it is updated on the Rolling Stone Charts. 

The lists are updated daily and cover, among other things, top 100 songs, top 200 albums and top 500 artists. Right now, Drakes Certified Lover Boy dominates on both the song and album list with as many as 19 songs at the top of the top 100 song list and as number 1 on the album list.
